What I liked

I loved the music, the worm, Mia’s acting, the saxophone farts, the ever-presence of the toilet. The mikvah was really moving and relatable.

What I didn't like

Hard to think of anything. I think maybe I want Mia’s vocals to be mic’ed for the final song.

My overall impression

I really laughed my ass off! And cried! It was so earnest, and beautifully cartoonish, and self aware. The costumes were both hilarious and stunning and the show takes you on such a ride of Mia’s personal journey with gut illness, breakups, and creativity itself. The music was all super sweet and catchy (stuck in my head right now!) and I was so surprised by all the cool choreography. Nick as the worm was an absolute riot. The show was sprinkled with clown elements that were really satisfying. A show about coming into ones own as an artist and how our biggest setbacks are also are best friends. LOVED IT.
