My friend Marcus poured every ounce of his eccentricity and passion into the performance, creating an unforgettable journey through trauma, healing, and joy. One standout moment was a brilliant, hilarious, and oddly moving ballad dedicated to “Officer Finger,” the police officer who wasn’t good at pointing the finger at the driver who injured Marcus. I absolutely loved the storytelling here. The way he started it with "what if's" about failed romances - to bring it to his near-death, catastrophic experience and WHAT IF that is being alive and escaping death was captivating. The journey invites the viewer to think deeply about the meaning of life and purpose in this world through Marcus's horrific yet amusingly portrayed head injury. Marcus exudes the strength and conviction we all wish we could have if faced with the same circumstance - but often fear we would not!
