What I liked
I liked the excellent writing (both of the story arc itself and the actual dialogue), the quick pace of the dialogue, and how the characters poked fun at their own stereotypes. It was funny, engaging, and captivating. It was easy to love-hate each of the characters in their own way, which made them feel complex and compelling.
What I didn't like
For some audience members, it’s possible the pace of the dialogue was actually too fast. It would be easy to miss out on subtle, funny jokes, which added to the charm of the play.
My overall impression
My overall impression of the show was how thoughtfully the scenes were chosen. We got back story, character complexity, and complex human dynamics all in such a short window. It was gritty, yet relatable, and not gratuitously intense in the way that implied violence and criminal activity often is in the media.
