What I liked
Each performer brought such unique physicality and dropped in delivery to their work. The relationships felt fleshed out and real. The dialogue clips along and never felt stiff or strange even when what was being said was very strange. Cannot say enough good things about the direction. The fluidity of the movement, the pictures being painted, the right moments for stillness and closeness and sincerity. Just an all star production and cast. Whoever did production and costume design both knocked it out of the park.
What I didn't like
I’m trying not to be all sugar and no substance but it’s an incredible show I’ve got nothing here.
My overall impression
Where do I even start with this gem of a production? From the moment we walked in and saw the set design I knew we were in for a treat and man did this show deliver. Tightly written dialogue that had me cracking up and drove the show at a great pace. Performances that were dropped in, powerful, larger than life, and outright hysterical. Not to say “I laughed I cried it was everything” but … yeah, that. Outstanding dynamic direction really brings this thing to life. I’m still amazed at how such a quick show was able to show us so many different relationships that felt lived in and real. The stand out scene for me is the one between the two women of the cast and how we see it mirrored in the show’s final moments. That for me was deeply moving. Honestly drop whatever you’re doing and go see this pronto. This show is the hum and then some.
