My overall impression

This play was an absolute delight to watch. While consisting of a small cast of only four actors, it held-fast the audience’s attention due to the witty dialogue and an unpredictable plot trajectory. The highly accomplished actors were completely believable in their roles and it was obvious they enjoyed their work on stage for this production. The humor felt natural and appropriate within the scenes and the audience laughed out loud on a number of occasions. The combination of planning a high stakes robbery by their misguided and unhinged leader along with his unique, quirky cohorts made it a fun evening of wondering where the heck this story was headed. All of the actors did a terrific job, especially Kaplan (Cathryn Dylan Ortiz) who brought a gravitas to a character and role that could have been less visible had she not owned it in every scene she was in. Hats off as well to the writer/actor Blake Shields (Abe) and the director Elizabeth Boykewich.
