Really smart, elegant direction, an extremely well-written play by Steven Dietz, and two exquisite performances from Natalie Valentine and James Carter Montgomery. Chekhov’s characters were in good hands.

My overall impression
An absolutely beautiful piece of theatre with two heartfelt performances. The play is a companion piece to Anton Chekhov’s play “The Seagull,” so if you’re familiar with that play, you’ll find this exploration of the characters (Nina and Konstantin) especially fascinating. I highly recommend this beautiful play.
