What I liked
Everything. Top to bottom. This show is a love letter to an incredible and powerful woman, and the people, the community, the family, and partner that got her there. You WILL walk out of this show full of hope and passion because Elektra gifts that to you in her performance.
What I didn't like
While it was not significant whatsoever and it never hampered my understanding of the plot, I did lose some of the acting scenes that was primarily in Spanish as a non-speaker. But hey, it was a good reminder to start Spanish on Duolingo!
My overall impression
Everytime I think about this show and what I watched, I can only think of two words: Trans excellence. A story of a proud transwoman’s journey to finding herself in a 3 act structure is full of love, light, hope, fight, passion, and some of the best dancing I have seen in years!!!! Elektra truly embodies the name… she is such a superhero in this show!
