What I liked

The writing, the performance, the timing and lighting cues, ability to cover both the humor and struggles of show’s topic

What I didn't like

It would be really cool to see this show with a full set, but I know the limitations of what one can do during Fringe in terms of financing and loading in a set probably makes that not possible for now.

My overall impression

POACHED is an impressive and rewarding show to experience. Mara displays true talent as both a writer and actor, never dropping the energy required to carry a one woman show. Even as it touches on darker subjects, POACHED keeps its audience supplied with plenty of laughs and moments of revelation. The ending is wonderfully full circle and I couldn’t recommend it more as one of the best shows at this year’s Fringe festival!
