What I liked

As I said, she speaks in gibberish, the only language I can understand… the NY parts were particularly accurate to what it’s like to chase your dreams in the big city. the night with “Frank” was sobering, to say the least. so many fun audience games. the karaoke. the mind control. the rendition of “crying” was the dumbest thing i’ve ever seen in the best way possible. There’s fantastic elements of dreamy, Lynchian surrealism weaved throughout.

What I didn't like

this should be an 8-part miniseries on the BBC.

My overall impression

Emily Maverick is a fairy godmother genius from another world, we all know it and we are all lucky to be in her orbit. This show is so joyful, so absurd, and has so much dynamic range and play… it all flows so effortlessly and is infectious. How someone from Antarctica can warm our hearts I’ll never know… she is so present with the audience, and it is so easy to go along for the ride because she includes you every step of the way. Which is amazing, because the show is completely in gibberish.
