What I liked

I’m a major introvert but felt comfortable engaging with the cast. I appreciated it being a more intimate venue.

I also like how the plot was new and kept relatively simple for us to follow along. I appreciated this jump from some other productions I’ve seen, as it felt like everyone was on the same page from the get-go. The cast and the audience were working with the same details at the same pace, so it was like everything was truly unfolding before us all at once. I didn’t feel like I was behind trying to keep up with the plot (which I usually do) — and the cast members were very skillful at “coaching” us on what our next steps in participating could be.

What I didn't like

Somewhat selfishly, more twists! I really like how I got to influence how the show ended, but I also think it’d be cool if some of the characters betrayed the audience as well. It’s really cool we get to tell the characters what to do (and vice versa), but I also like seeing their autonomy.

My overall impression

My favorite improv experience yet!! This show was SO incredibly fun. Lighthearted and passionate, the cast did a fantastic job setting up a scene for us all to participate. We had a lot of options as to how we could get involved, and it was super satisfying to see some of our suggestions shape the plot’s climax. It’s hard to know what you’re heading into, but in a good way. Great “yes and-“ work that had everyone cheering by the end. Our crowd was pretty quiet at the start, but the cast’s direction and contagious enthusiasm got us going.
