What I liked
Audience participation was very effective. The odd personal details of the different characters were interesting and memorable. Impressive amount of research.
What I didn't like
The show could be a bit longer, maybe 70-80 minutes. It was a lot of material and information for a “novice” audience to take in.
My overall impression
Fascinating story and brilliant storytelling. Jacob’s passion for his characters was evident and animated his performance throughout. I loved the use of audience participation to enliven the history. It made me think that all history lessons should be acted out! I hope to see more shows in this genre of “cities and their founding characters”.
