This show, with its expert wit and thoughtfulness, poked at all the things I’m feeling currently about the history-making in progress, the ways in which our understanding of the past can be so muddled, how it is just so difficult to be a good person, and that good people can be nearly forgotten. All the hard things, made funny and real.
What I didn't like
The jacket? Just kidding. The jacket, and its various roles worked for me, too.
My overall impression
Every place has history, this show takes us through the founding of Seattle by way of the story of Doc Maynard and somehow also wrapped in moment of 2025. Jake Sidney delivers the story with charm and finesse that kept me hooked. This is how learning about history should feel.
