Jacob Sidney is a compelling storyteller. His dry humor throughout the show helps keep the tone light and the momentum brisk, even when deep in the weeds of historical facts and figures. The projections are stunning, and the technician in the booth deserves some kind of award for running them all so smoothly.

My overall impression
Jacob Sidney takes you on a tour through Seattle’s history that’s as clever as it is thought-provoking. No Better Man feels like a response to the lessons taught en masse in our education system. Lessons that, even when not explicitly a white-washed account, lack the nuance and complexity of all the people and cultures at play in our history.
