What I liked
How the show educated us in Calvino’s approach while still being clearly Greg’s own. The weaving in of Judaism and queerness with the power of art and storytelling. The fearlessness of confronting the Gaza nightmare. The genuine humor that kept us engaged for the drama.
What I didn't like
The early bit/set up was very smart and engaging but could have been shorter.
My overall impression
Fantastic! It’s such a pleasure when strong sophisticated writing is backed up by top performance skills! Greg brought complexity, humor, and emotional depth to examinations of the power and peril of storytelling, growing up Jewish and queer, the agony of Gaza, and lifesaving books.
