What a gift and what an honor to be invited into the inner life and outer emanations of Greg Nussen, in a dance with other times, other writers, with the hypocrisy and backflips of history and identity and how we’re seen and not seen, and what we don’t want to see that screams at us or bungles into our lives until we see and feel. I find my own relationship to ambiguity, confusion, unfolding universes and timelines enriched and turned upside and reinvented. I’ll carry this show with me for some time.
What I didn't like
Absolutely nothing. I told Greg that I’d like them to just go ahead and be cast in all things ever because they’re such a compelling performer… so that’s my only unreasonable demand!!
My overall impression
I’m a bit speechless about this show, as it’s so beautifully crafted and so powerfully embodied and spooled and unspooled by Greg Nussen. Twists and swirls through various, seemingly fractured but always and inevitably constellated scripts carry the audience on a heart-rending, humorous, quantum-leaping pilgrimage-of-the-soul of sorts. Greg is so funny, so magically plants the garden plot of the show and tends to its seeds and crops with such care, humor, and humanity.
