What I liked

For a show that does so much in regards to… well… everything, it is still a beautiful cohesive package. Gregory covers an awful lot of ground with a spellbinding blend of intellectualism, gags, spectacle, self-reflection, wit, true nuanced emotion, and just honest-to-goodness performance chops. As soon as they strode onstage, I knew I was in the hands of a very capable artist.

QFWFQ asks you to reflect on questions of memory, of desire, of art, of justice, of identity, of beginnings, of what could have been or could be. Each “play” is intensely personal and revealing, punctuated with skillfully evocative imagery. Personal though Gregory’s stories and thoughts may be, the way they pose each question and answer begs you to turn it back on yourself, and in those moments, you feel connected and like they are speaking directly to you even though several dozen other people fill the room.

What I didn't like

okay but seriously what does QFWFQ stand for

My overall impression

Coming to QFWFQ, I had very little idea what I was getting into. Even after watching, I’m still not entirely sure I know now either. What I do know is that QFWFQ instantly became one of my “must-see” recommendations for HFF25. So get on that before all performances are sold out because they certainly deserve to be and probably will be.
