Gregory Nussen has created one of the most impressive one person performances I've seen, at Fringe or otherwise. Walking a continuous tightrope between comedy and profundity, Nussen asks out loud why a public record of a personal exploration is necessary and arrives at an answer that feels powerful without being myopic, preachy or self-aggrandizing. The show is instantly funny and eventually heartbreaking without contradicting itself (except, of course, when it purposefully and loudly contradicts itself). Nussen is an arresting performer; getting laughs with wordless gestures and then leading the audience on a full journey that never tests our patience, going into painful personal history and coming back with something universal about identi... full review

I'm a bit speechless about this show, as it's so beautifully crafted and so powerfully embodied and spooled and unspooled by Greg Nussen. Twists and swirls through various, seemingly fractured but always and inevitably constellated scripts carry the audience on a heart-rending, humorous, quantum-leaping pilgrimage-of-the-soul of sorts. Greg is so funny, so magically plants the garden plot of the show and tends to its seeds and crops with such care, humor, and humanity. ... full review

a gorgeous, emotional, thought-provoking study in contradictions. It’s both meandering and precise; charmingly silly and deadly serious; so sharp and so vulnerable. QFWFQ is humane, clear-sighted and delightfully constructed. And so funny! A must see.... full review

I loved this show so much. I went in not really knowing what to expect and came out wondering WTF did I just watch and why do I feel like I need to go have a good cry. Equal parts hilarious, existential, and impactful, I never quite knew where we were going but because I could tell from the start that the show was in the hands of a powerful performer, I was ready for the ride from minute one. Go see this show!... full review

This show expertly weaves between various tones and topics. From brilliantly executed bits of intentionally dumb fun to powerfully painful moments of vulnerability, Gregory Nussen is a force to be reckoned with on both the page and the stage.... full review

The show was incredible! Multiple themes intertwined so beautifully, and the pace, format, lighting, and music of the show reflected the emotion and themes perfectly. Gregg is a great storyteller and performer. If you see one show during Fringe Fest, let it be this one. ... full review

Gregory Nussen delivers what is sure to be a major contender for Best Solo Show at Fringe. Full of both laughs and profundity, Nussen skates through very personal stories in a way that feels universally relatable. They are a nuanced and intelligent writer and a vibrant, heartfelt actor with a massive amount of charm. Using a very clever conceit, Nussen (with fabulous co-director Hannah Pilkes) has crafted an exciting train ride. I never knew where we were going, but I always felt safe and delighted with Greg driving. They offer very intimate details while never taking themself too seriously, creating a beautiful, poignant, hilarious and exhilarating hour of theatre. Highest recommendation!... full review

An exploration of a rich internal landscape, as much as it is an exercise in theatrical form and structure. The word “brave” gets thrown around a lot with solo shows, but this one deserves it. This is mind-expanding work that I’ll be thinking about for a long time.... full review

Wow. Wtf. What a journey. I absolutely love the vehicle Gregory decided to use for their one-person show. You see all these one-person shows at Fringe, and then you’re like “woah… a surrealist one-person show named… idk… qwifka..” and then you buy a ticket and you’re like, “WTF the best show I’ve seen this season HANDS DOWN.” Insane. Blown away. Big fan of Gregory. Can’t wait to see what they do next.... full review

This is a work of genius. The writing is just incredible. Magical realism + poetry. I’d listen to this artist speak forever. The staging, set design, and lighting transported me to all sorts of locations. I highly recommend this show!... full review
