What I liked

I really enjoyed how the show used music and movement to guide us through Nancy’s mind and memories. The scenes felt dreamlike without losing their emotional core. The relationship between Nancy and Sam was especially moving, and I found myself really rooting for Sam as she tried to understand her mother’s life. The cast was fantastic – Melissa Berglund stood out, and the ensemble did a great job playing multiple characters without it feeling confusing. The direction and choreography were also really strong and helped make each scene feel unique.

What I didn't like

At times, I found the storyline a bit hard to follow, especially when the show shifted into more abstract or surreal moments. A little more grounding or context at the beginning could help with that. Also, there were a few scenes where the pace slowed down too much, and I think tightening those moments would make the story hit even harder.

My overall impression

Starlight Stage was a beautiful and emotional experience. It blends fantasy and real-life struggles in a way that’s both creative and heartfelt. The Slope Game story touches on memory, loss, and family in a way that feels very personal.
