My overall impression
This dark comedy/thriller had me laughing out loud at times while others I was on the edge of my seat. Often times with “dark comedies” I think it depends on the audience on a given night whether the comedy plays, but a majority of the crowd was laughing right along with me. To be clear, this is not a whimsical comedic farce, but when the audience needed to laugh, Graham Bowlin’s script brought it. The last thirty minutes really plays like a thriller. The direction and acting are top notch as all things build to a climax I did not see coming. As the great reviews keep coming in for RODEO TOWN, I’m not one bit surprised. GO SEE THIS SHOW!
