My overall impression

“Rodeo Town” was intense with a strong and powerful performance by Harry Beer as Lonnie. Lonnie seems to be always drinking and undaunted by the actions and demands of Kelly until a stranger appears as a guest of Garth. Lonnie knows the truth about the situation and tries desperately to change the inevitable outcome for his beloved friend, Kelly

Dustin Bayers plays the soft, warm and fuzzy character of Kelly. Kelly hides a secret that keeps the audience puzzled throughout the entire show until the very end. Dustin, as Kelly, keeps the audience guessing while providing some clues to the past

Eric Cire plays the psychotic, Garth. Eric, as Garth, will keep you at the edge of your seat with his glaring eyes and inviting, but, dangerous gestures as Kelly interacts with his new found “friend” and his “family”.

The “guest”, a Dentist, played brilliantly by Dustin Gooch, enters into a world of intrigue that offers the Dentist a chance to change his unhappy married life into a fantasy of adventure.
This “adventure” becomes a life-changing transformation for the Dentist that impacts everyone, including, the unexpected audience.

“Rodeo Town” can be seen at East Theater at the Complex in Hollywood through the end of June.

Be aware— strong language and “dark” drama
