My overall impression

As someone who has spent the past 8 years working in conjunction with local playwrights in an effort to help strengthen their scripts in progress, I feel it important to patron other groups introducing original works to our community. While there were a few scenes that I felt unnecessary to the forward progress of the play, I enjoyed this unique show that kept me intrigued until the end.

I self-identified with the visitor, Richard, who was both intimidated by and curious of this place he had unexpectedly stumbled upon. I appreciate that the majority of the story unfolded for us, the audience, as it was being told/shown to him.

The talented cast sold their performances through an impressive level of commitment. The set was much more elaborate than anything I expected to see on a Fringe stage. The director made good use of the space, creating a broader world that encompassed the audience. If you are looking for a dark comedy that will keep you guessing, this is your show.
