Superb acting and a well-told story with ups and downs, surprises and twists make Graham Bowlin's new play a must-watch!... full review

"Rodeo Town" is by turns both quirkily humorous and violently dark. The ensemble cast is superb, with strong performances turned in by all. The character development and plot are well-crafted. Highly recommend!... full review

Four very strong performances, with excellent set and lighting to boot. This is an interesting piece that is often very funny, but veers darker as it goes. fringeblog.webs.com... full review

Rodeo Town is at once provocative, compelling, and disturbing. While you might not bring your Aunt Patsy to this one, anyone else you do bring will make it a topic of conversation for months to come. The imagery and themes stay with you. Its strongest features are the writing and the performance by Harry Beer. ... full review

This was a great play and a tour de force of acting by Harry Beer. The ending is completly unexpected, and there is an amazing tension that exsists between the actors. I loved it!!!! Todd Fulscher... full review

"Rodeo Town" is uncomfortably satisfying. Dark but sweet. Surreal but honest. Aggressively sensual but tenderly innocent. Bowlin's outstanding script is brought to life by the incredible performances of the ensemble of four men who truly take you to another time and place, maybe even another world (who knows what or where Rodeo Town really is...). You'll feel a swelling gamut of emotion that will grip your heart, paralyze your sense of wrong and right, relieve you with humor, only to leave you in awe. I've only experienced a twist this horrifyingly shocking in the cinema. Whatever your plans were for this weekend, change them. See this play before it's too late.... full review

What struck me most about this disconcertingly haunting piece of theater was the absolutely superb acting. All four actors nailed their characters with beautiful precision and commitment. I appreciated the comedic moments, oftentimes fantastically so, that buoyed the tone as the story became increasingly dark. Great set, too! Brilliant!... full review

"Rodeo Town" was intense with a strong and powerful performance by Harry Beer as Lonnie. Lonnie seems to be always drinking and undaunted by the actions and demands of Kelly until a stranger appears as a guest of Garth. Lonnie knows the truth about the situation and tries desperately to change the inevitable outcome for his beloved friend, Kelly Dustin Bayers plays the soft, warm and fuzzy character of Kelly. Kelly hides a secret that keeps the audience puzzled throughout the entire show until the very end. Dustin, as Kelly, keeps the audience guessing while providing some clues to the past Eric Cire plays the psychotic, Garth. Eric, as Garth, will keep you at the edge of your seat with his glaring eyes and inviting, but, dangerous g... full review

Rodeo town is a real treat. There's intensity, great laughs, bewilderment and understanding. When the lights come down and the show begins, it's one of those moments where you can just feel that you're gonna be hooked in for a great ride. The characters and their mysteries keep you captivated and puzzled right up until the paly's stunning end. Graham Bowlin's writing is very natural and beautiful, embedded with mystery, humor and teeters down to disquieting lows. The actors do superb work with their roles. Every single actor in this play gives a fantastic performance and gives their whole heart. Dustin Gooche is entertaining in that awkward, lost, sad-excuse-of-a-man kind of way. I'm very surprised that I haven't heard Harry Beer's name bef... full review
