Phenomenal comedic timing and wonderful stage presence. It felt very well rehearsed but not staged if that makes sense. You also used the stage to it’s fullest. I feel it’s easy to do something like this without moving around a lot, but you clearly spent time on the blocking to make it as visually interesting as possible. Also, just want to compliment your writing; solid job and I hope you’re getting a lot of positive feedback.
What I didn't like
There were a few somber and introspective moments that I really enjoyed, but I wanted more from them. They helped empathize with your character and made us want to root for you. It’s been a week since I saw the show (I should’ve done this review earlier) so I don’t fully remember which one, but I would’ve loved to see a full breakdown with tears to really get to the core of the struggles your character was dealing with.
My overall impression
I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the show ended up exceeding all expectations. It was captivating and hysterical. Faith has a commanding presence on the stage that was enhanced by a solid script and fun audience interactions. The moments of vulnerability and sincerity helped ground this comedy and allowed the comedic beats to hit harder; Marvel execs could learn a thing or two… Overall, it was a breadth of fresh air that I highly recommend seeing.
