The writing, the characters and the constant relatable humor throughout the piece.
Definitely a show made for women that fearlessly talks about women/girl issues and humor but plenty of men were laughing too, which shows her talent as a performer and writer.
The show kept you engaged to the end and when she hits you with the stillness, grounded and tender end moment…very powerful piece. Kaitlyn is charming and funny!
What I didn't like
Nothing comes to my mind. I enjoyed the show and I am so glad I caught the last showing in this year’s Fringe! Wish she had more shows so I could tell people to go see it!
My overall impression
Hilarious! Kaitlyn is such a talented performer and writer! The show is layered, fun, nostalgic and high energy. She talks about the body image issues that so many women and young girls struggle with. As well as how toxic masculinity and the seeking of that approval of the “bad boy” can make women/girls twist themselves into pretzels to try and obtain it. How that makes so many girls/women lose themselves in the chase but what a powerful end moment when starts to reclaim herself and her power.
