Colleen Hammond Whitmore’s direction is sharp, inventive, and incredibly effective. This 60-minute sprint somehow keeps every word of Shakespeare’s original while still feeling totally accessible and emotionally rich. The pacing is tight in the best way, forcing you to lean in and really engage with the characters’ choices and the stakes of the story. The leads were captivating, and the entire ensemble handled the text with clarity, confidence, and a real sense of fun. No stumbles, no confusion—just a tight, joyful romp through one of Shakespeare’s most beloved plays.

My overall impression
This As You Like It is funny, heartfelt, and refreshingly clear. Colleen Hammond Whitmore’s direction honors the original text while making it feel totally alive. It’s a great reminder that Shakespeare can be fun, breezy, and full of joy. Even if you usually brace yourself before a Shakespeare show, this one invites you in and keeps you right there with it the whole time. It was a total delight and I’d prefer to see all Shakespeare in this format. Do yourself a favor and SEETHISSHOW!
