This pulled back version makes this play approachable to audience members who may be less comfortable with Shakespeare, without losing any of its charm. And if you aren’t as familiar with this particular play, it’s a great crash course!

My overall impression

What a delightful adaptation of this Shakespearean comedy. Colleen’s minimalist approach doesn’t lose the heart found in the Forest of Arden. Eileen Arce as Rosalind was a true joy to watch on stage – do yourself a favor and don’t miss her this Fringe season. (Though with two rotating casts, you can’t go wrong with any show you catch!) If you need a smile and a fresh look at a well-known favorite, get to the McCadden for “As You Like It” in 60 Minutes.
