What’s there not to like? The story is so well written, following the journey of a washed up former child actor who was failed by Hollywood. Edward delivers a performance for the ages. The supporting actors really shine too. All the characters they portray feel so alive. And Margaret really puts on a show with her pipes!
I can’t say enough good things about the live band. They seamlessly weave pop songs into the narrative with such ease. They are a steady presence that guides us along in our journey.
Incredible technical work. I’m amazed they were able to pull this off with a 15 minute load in time. Whoever is working behind the scenes to make this production go smoothly should really give themselves a round of applause.
All in all, a stellar show that I can’t recommend enough!

My overall impression
Every aspect of this show was high quality. A captivating script, incredible actors, and a fricken live band! Fool in the Pool really pushes the boundaries of what can be accomplished at Fringe.
I came into this expecting a fun karaoke night, and I got SOOO much more.
