What I liked
Sarah’s Jennifer Coolidge was so good it could have been its own show entirely.
What I didn't like
Sarah has a style of humor that I believe will age exceedingly well as Gen-Z matures and replaces the current millennial zeitgeist of humor that dominates mainstream media (That is in my humble opinion stuck in 2009.) However, until then many may not understand the particular references and jokes that are being made. I did, however and I loved them and Sarah’s delivery of them still makes them funny. In a way this show is sort of ahead of it’s time, but that’s not really on Sarah to fix unless she gets a time machine or something.
My overall impression
I love the mind of Sarah Lazarus, and it was a privilege to be led through it Gay-Gen-Z-Internet-Meme-Culture-Wizard of Oz Style. Sarah takes a universal experience we’ve all had: wandering through our thoughts, and frames it through an experience that will greatly resonate with anyone deep in the trenches of strange tik-tok fads. The use of projection is particularly astounding and practical, with one part blowing my mind with how creatively it was used.
The writing was the perfect recipe of clever but stupid, which is the essence of good comedy.
This show is full of surprises, which is reflected in its clever yet silly creator.
