What I liked
Sarah clearly has musical theatre chops and really held down the stage solo. References that will resonate with any fellow early 2000s tweens, and Sarah’s onstage interactions with her supporting impression characters and light/sound cues were sharp. Laughed every time she locked into the Kia soul through her brain. Scary body swap at the end was great.
What I didn't like
Curious to see how more choreography could play into the songs and would love to see more of silly scary Raquel at the end.
My overall impression
Lewks, live vocals and technical spectacle, oh my! This journey into Sarah Lazarus’ mind, featuring fab use of multimedia and a killer collection of y2k throwback clips, is a fun ride that made me wanna do ketamine out of a gallon-sized ziploc (see show for reference) and invest in a more glamorous house robe.
