The story, the talent, the setup, ALL OF IT! I loved the depth of each character and the surprise ending. The comedic delivery is unforgettable, such a simple punch line that really hits and sticks with you – gigglessss for days. This comes with strong talent. The play was cast so well. The simplicity of the stage design mixed with strong sound cues was wonderfully done.
What I didn't like
As someone sitting in the fourth row, it was a LITTLE hard to see everything at moments, especially activity that happened when characters would sit or bend down. Maybe if the elevator was further back and/or elevated a tiny bit, it would have been easier to not miss a beat? That said, this often happens in theatre depending on who is sitting in front of you so it is all just situational.
My overall impression
This wonderful show gives you all of the feels, threaded by a lot of laughs from beginning to end. The way the talent is able to deliver such sensitive and relevant topics with confidence, grace and total understanding is what truly sucks you right into the story. I felt like I was stuck in that elevator with them and didn’t care how much longer it would take for the doors to open. The verbal and physical comedy throughout makes the hour fly by, smiling almost the entire time, except for the moments of feeling the underlining pain. Such expressive, endearing characters, easy to adore. I am so happy I went to see STUCK!!!
