A warm hearted thought provoking story of a woman's journey from childhood to adulthood. It is vey funny, cleverly written and a tear jerker wrapped into one. I am in awe of what Jeannette Rizzi has gone thru. Most would not have come out of it as brave and still believing in life's possibilities as she has. ... full review

I did not know what to expect. I was so impressed with the different emotions I felt. Sometimes I would be crying and laughing at the same time. It is a true story that has a real lesson. It is a story that should be a movie. Jeanette is funny, sincere and honest. I thoroughly enjoyed her performance and this one woman show. ... full review

A one-woman show about the effects of teen suicide doesn’t sound like a rip-roaring night out by any accounts, but Jeanette Rizzi’s ‘Blindsided’ manages to straddle the line between funny and tragic with a grace unexpected. Beginning with ‘outcast’ Jeanette’s upbringing as a daughter of a monk and a nun (both, she hastens to add, well out of the orders before embarking on the baby-making), and as a full-blooded Italian in the ‘red-neck’ town in Florida where she’s the local ‘milano’ (or machiatto, or marinara, or whatever word the locals confuse for Mulatto), Cher-lover Jeanette knows she’s bound for greater things. What a performance! Jeannette Rizzi takes us through the universal traumas of growing up "different" as an Italian in a redneck town. Her journey from an abused teenager, to a strong confident woman gives everyone hope. The tragedy of her best friend's suicide is one that we all can relate to, and seeing how she has used the pain to create such a jubilant piece of theater makes this a wonderful and entertaining evening! ... full review

The show was extremely well done, thoughtful, funny, sad, and ultimately, inspirational. Jeannette Rizzi has crafted a sensitive story from her life and made it relatable to an audience. Jeannette use of voices and accents make it easy to visualize the story. She as a wonderful presence that makes her story consistently compelling.... full review

My overall impression of Blindsided was how impressive an individual can have a comedy show but at the same time address suicidal thoughts and the importance to acknowledging it and bring it to the surface so it can be something people feel comfortable talking about. ... full review

Absolutely amazing one woman show. Every moment is delivered perfectly. Jeannette finds the perfect balance to deliver such a tough subject in a respectful, relatable, educational, hilarious way. The characters, the voices, and the stories, kept me involved and entertained from the start to the end. I laughed, I cried, and I related to Jeannette’s story on so many different levels. Such a great show, highly recommend for everyone to see. ... full review
