What an experience! no elaborate set, no famous cast.... just raw, visceral emotion that tugged at your heart and made you a witness to Jeannette's incredible story. She is an accomplished story teller who takes you to a journey filled with bittersweet humor, unbearable anguish and sadness yet leaves you with an incredible appreciation for life with all its ups and down. This show should be performed in schools all around the country. As Jeannette said toward the end of her performance "Be careful how you speak to women". ...

I laughed, I cried, I laughed again, I cried some more, and I left with a smile on my face. Jeannette Rizzi’s talent is unmistakable as she skillfully captures the voices and personalities of those who have shaped her into the person she is today—from her best friend Katie, whose suicide shook Jeannette to her core, to Flash, a wiener dog who calls it as he sees it. Blindsided is a terrific, thought-provoking show....

Jeannette's perspective and moving performance is resonating with me and touched home in many ways. She taught me some important things about myself that were therapeutic. Jeannette has a way of making each character real to life, which make you laugh and cry and agree. Her creative descriptions of the mentality of the church and the behaviors of humans towards each other, remind you that we all want the same respect, honor, integrity and loyalty. I left the show wanting to hear the rest of her story and share mine, and an understanding of what a brilliant talent she is, to teach us through her pain.

Her dialects are spot on. This young woman radiates humor, beauty, intelligence, and altruism. Rizzi courageously bears her soul for all marginalized by society. Bravo! ...

I was lucky enough to see the closing night performance of a sold-out run at Hollywood Fringe of "Blindsided". Jeannette Rizzi is funny, witty and vulnerable with a smile that physically draws you to her. A great one-woman show. Remember that name, you'll see it again!...
