Honestly, I’d hit that mago in no time. There was something kinda sexy about the whole Im an UBER driver too.
What I didn't like
.
My overall impression
The show is amazing on its own but it becomes something unforgettable because of the person on stage. Linzy Beltran is a star. Her presence is undeniable and her power can take over any room with ease. She’s funny, magnetic, and totally in command even while being completely unhinged in the best way.
El Mago Loco is hilarious and chaotic but it also leaves you with plenty to think about. It dives into big cultural and political questions, especially around immigration and identity in the US, without ever feeling heavy handed or maybe just the right amount. One of the most radical things about it is how freely Beltran lets herself take up space and how boldly she allows stupidity to take center stage.
I left feeling like anything is possible if you believe in yourself or at least commit fully to the bit. And while this Latino magician might not be the best at magic, the real magic was being in the presence of him.
