They struck an incredible balance between making us love this deeply flawed, yet human character, and making us laughably recoil. Felt like I was witnessing shadow work. It was a masterfully acted. The absurdity of the dancing and the repetition. The way the movements were so repetitive they took you into a trance where you felt the rhythm of loneliness and could still laugh about it.
What I didn't like
More people should see this work. I want to experience this work on a subway, in a museum, at a bar. Immersive magic.
My overall impression
Annie Laurie has created a masterpiece. The acting was transcendent, superstar-level. I was completely mesmerized and drawn in. I actually felt high watching this piece. Completely transportive and chill-inducing.
