Annie Laurie Daniel brings the smoking section to the stage with International Party Girl—a solo show that satirizes and ever so slightly glamorizes the life of the vodka and ketamine-friendly, perhaps at a certain famous club in Berlin. The protagonist’s endless one-upmanship and commitment to throwing their hands up in the air (“so there”) for minutes on end helps the show maintain a comedic tone throughout, but not before yanking us back to reality when we realize the plight of the Party Girl: when does it end?
