What I liked

I loved the incorporation of movement and dance to bring us into the inner life of the character! Also loved that the artist drew parallels between her immigration to Mars and the real hurdles people face when immigrating to the US. This isn’t abstract. It’s happening now.

It was also fascinating to get a peek into the life of a young student in China and the demands they face.

What I didn't like

I’d love to know more about why this is so important to the character? What’s at stake? What happens if she doesn’t get the job? I also wasn’t super clear on whether she did end up being recruiter for a legal position or whether she’s going as something else? Did she have to compromise on the position? Why did she choose to do that?

My overall impression

A timely exploration of immigration, our evolution outpacing our mental health and the never-ending commodification of fulfillment and gatekeeping of prosperity by our overlords.
