Being a big fan of deegie’s music to begin with, I loved finding out the backstories and context that they represent in her life. Joseph on guitar and Jeanette on drums were expectational throughout.
What I didn't like
Anne’s acting is still a bit rough around the edges, but she has the raw talent to hone those skills as she continues in such endeavours.
My overall impression
Anne DiGiovanni (a.k.a. deegie) brings her hard-charging rock songs about her failed relationships from her teens and 20’s, including a sexual assault, into emotional focus and historical context with her multimedia production of “Exes: The Musical”. deegie takes no prisoners as she reads diary passages of her most personal thoughts and feelings. If you’ve lived any time at all and have loved and lost, no matter what side of the breakup you were on, you’ll be moved by her stories and inspired by high-energy music and lyrics that triumphantly declare freedom from bad romances.
