Anne DiGiovanni (a.k.a. deegie) brings her hard-charging rock songs about her failed relationships from her teens and 20's, including a sexual assault, into emotional focus and historical context with her multimedia production of "Exes: The Musical". deegie takes no prisoners as she reads diary passages of her most personal thoughts and feelings. If you've lived any time at all and have loved and lost, no matter what side of the breakup you were on, you'll be moved by her stories and inspired by high-energy music and lyrics that triumphantly declare freedom from bad romances....

Deegie is at her absolute best and brightest when singing! Her soundtrack felt like it I might find the songs on the album of 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU or a similarly iconic turn-of-the-millennium film. She makes belting sound effortless — and as a singer, I can tell you that it is not. ...

Such a fun and poignant show. The nostalgic stories of love and dating were interwoven brilliantly with clever, in-your-face pop-punk original music. Deegie is a firecracker of a performer!...

For EXES: THE MUSICAL, I can think of no better sound to represent the angst, the pain, the sorrow, the anger and, ultimately, the hope than the vibrant pop rock score it has. It’s a sound brought to life by a talented trio of musicians who have a clear passion and love for performing that shines through in each musical sequence.
Additionally, there are moments of fun visual flair with some multimedia segments cutting together pop culture highlights to accent and help string together a fairly personal story, told by Anne Digiovanni.
It’s a vulnerable place she’ll take ya and I respect any creative who can put themselves out there in such an honest way. And inspiring. A great reminder of how we can take some of the darkest moments of ...
