For the other photosensitive epileptics like me, note that there’s a flickering “sodium lamp” effect across the stage, near the 15 minute mark that lasts for about a minute.
My overall impression
A play mostly told in silence. Slow, thoughtful, artistic. Gorgeously constructed set with countless considered details. Endlessly sharp casting and compelling physicality. In particular, the tension and thought Justine brought to the opening sequence will stick with me for a long time, as well as the sharper striking moments from Kyle. This feels very tightly rehearsed and huge credits to the director for the artistic choices taken. Wonderful selection for the Fringe!
