A gentle piece with very little risk that pleased the mostly elderly audience around me. Perfect show to take your tightly wound mother-in-law to see. ... full review

A wonderfully told insider's journey about the lives of Broadway's underdogs. Quirky, smart, and peppered with Kimberly's superbly executed dance and physical comedy sequences, the show sparkles with wit and heart. She's a force to behold in her backstage ninja-gear! As you root for her through countless trials and tribulations, you realize that her own onstage dreams come true in front of you, tonight. A brilliant, emotionally present celebration of the (hard) road less traveled. ... full review

All the praise goes to the writer, dancer, and do-er of ALL things behind the scenes, Kimberly Prentice. The dance numbers in the scenes were so fun to watch - they made this solo show exciting and layered. A lovely piece about true backstage chaos. ... full review

She took us through an emontional journey of her lifelong dream to be a Broadway dancer, while working as a dresser to pay the bills. Her ability to weave in humor, heartache and raw emotion, funny and fun bits of humor, singing and danicing to tell her story was real and emotionally raw. We felt her emotions and as an audience cheered for her as she found her voice in writing and performing this exceptional, one woman show. I think everyone came away knowing that this was not the last we would hear from "Pam"...her story is not finished, we know she has many more tales to tell!... full review

Unseen is a phenomenal solo show about the real heroes behind theater--the dressers. Kim Prentice does an excellent job of sharing her personal experience not only as a dresser, but also as a dancer and writer. Through multiple characters and brief dance numbers, she creates the backstage world of Broadway theater. ... full review

Who are those folks making the magic happen off stage, in the dark? Turns out the "unseen" are also sometimes artists with their own dreams. Kim Prentice takes us into the intimate underbelly of a Broadway crew member’s life and challenges. It's the details of being a "costume hag" to the stars that make this show hilarious - I laughed a lot! - but it is the ambition of the dresser to become a dancer on stage herself that is heartbreaking and gives this story depth. We are all really rooting for her to make it out of her survival job and into the limelight. Prentice pops in and out of scenes and characters like a pro. Tumbling about the stage in all black like a ninja, her red hair flashing, dynamic in her storytelling and physicality, we do... full review

Truly, There's No Biz Like Show Biz---but what are the odds of finding a story with a FRESH voice or a NEW viewpoint? Biggest surprise of this season's Fringe (so far) is the solo show KIMBERLY PRENTICE has concocted and propels by herself from the POV of a Broadway Dresser, full of backstage drama no audience suspects is out of sight right in front of them. Framed by a through-line of the character's ambitions and dreams---first deferred, then crushed---the narrative is liberally peppered with lots of lightly sketched but very diplomatic anecdotes (no names, please!)---a career chronicle that never touches on her own life In Person! ... full review

Unseen is a love letter to the hidden figures of live theatre. There are many plays about characters who risked everything for a dream and got it, but stories like these, about how you build a life even when you lose your dream, are just as important. It's about healing, community, and being seen.... full review
