The show is very well acted. Scout Gutzmerson great talent for physical comedy. Amanda Newman delivers dialogue laden existentialist philosophy and feminist frustrations with the patriarchal practices of modern theater while keeping things comedic. Kara O’Connor has a great range for creating characters. The central conceit for the show: a group of non-male performers waiting to get the rights for their production of Godot works very well.
What I didn't like
It could use a clear indication of when the show is over.
My overall impression
This play is both a celebration of absurdist theater as well as a critique of the sexism endemic to the entertainment industry. It is an affirmation that there can be joy and beauty in a world devoid of meaning. Shows like this are why fringe festivals exist. Go see it!
