Everything. Sometimes pieces of art feel like they’re made just for you, and this is one of those pieces. So many shows emphasize the glibness of life in a way that doesn’t really feel like an escape from said glibness. This, on the other hand feels like a wonderfully refreshing premise that just wants to have fun and be funny. It’s light yet dark, sincere yet sarcastic, (and most importantly) extremely original and extremely funny.
What I didn't like
Honestly, get these guys some mics because all the amazing lyrics NEED to be heard; they are so f-ing funny.
My overall impression
Dear lord, this is the funniest play I think I have ever seen at ANY Fringe fest in my life. The Bezos Boys is an unassuming laugh riot that kept me in stitches the entire time. The pacing of the jokes is breakneck (just how I like it), and the humor varies in degrees of wittiness from stupid puns, to visual gags, to meta-humor, all the way to sarcastic commentary on the absurdity of 21st century (and beyond) living. The songs are hilarious and catchy and the performers have this beautiful buddy energy that holds the whole play together so easily. Go see this play IMMEDIATELY!
