RUN, DON’T WALK!!! to this night to remember. Plot twists, audience participation, damn fine glizzys and pain in your cheeks from smiling is what you can reasonably expect from a night with Shaylene Woodley. If you think Amy Poehler or Tina Fey are funny, Caroline Cummings is the one to watch. SHAYLENE WOODLEY’S HOMESTYLE SUMMER SINGALONG BBQ COOKOUT is such a fun, joyful time. Caroline is so good in this character. Shaylene is hilarious, ridiculous, fully committed, and somehow also kind of heartbreaking? The show is super interactive, super improvised, and just genuinely fun from start to finish.
You play games, you sing songs, you laugh a lot, but there’s also this really surprising layer underneath it all. Shaylene’s dealing with some real stuff, and even though the show is mostly goofy and silly, you feel the emotion creeping in around the edges. It gives the whole thing this really sweet, layered vibe that stuck with me afterward.
