UPDATE: I wanted to come on here and add a new observation since seeing this a third time. The matinee had so many children in the audience and I was able to see the show through a new lens. I think our youngsters need a character like Shaylene. She's charming, positive, and sometimes she messes up. This is exactly the kind of all audience entertainment that helps shape small minds to be thoughtful, conscientious and comedic.
Incredible! Not since Pee Wee Herman has someone so brilliantly embodied a character and brought them to life! Or much like in The Rehearsal, the material is brilliantly staged that the line between improvisation and scripted is indistinguishable! Truly a show to see live!...

Good vibes and impressive improvisation! Caroline is a skilled clown and improviser and on top of that, she has built a character that we love to spend time with. As an audience member I felt, not only entertained, but held. ...

(Alfie, 7): I love the part when we all did the choo choo fun train dance. It was so much fun. I got to join the train and I even went on stage and played charades with Shaylene. I felt sorry for her at the end but I was happy we all had a really fun time together.
(Alfie's Mum): What a feat! Such a fun and funny show and clever idea to humanize the America that's so feared and misunderstood. Caroline's character was so lovable and I hope she makes it up with her sister, for all our sakes!...

Went to see this after enjoying another of the director’s shows, and wasn’t disappointed - it was refreshingly offbeat and spontaneous, and my 7 year old daughter absolutely loved the whole experience. It was funny and candid and unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Caroline Cummings is an absolute delight....

Super impressive improv!! Caroline is very quick witted with her jokes! I was also incredibly impressed that Caroline was able to keep it all appropriate for kids. This was the only show I saw at the fringe that was super kid friendly and it was so joyous to see little kids there enjoying the show alongside adults. What a genuinely good and silly time!!...

Joyful. Hilarious. And a really good time. Shaylene Woodley's cookout was a summer event for the ages. Caroline creates an environment that transports you from Hollywood to a backyard of what of the most hilarious, endearing, and whimsical characters out there. From the singing, dancing, cooking, and games, I was captivated the whole time and left with a smile on my face that lasted all day. ...
