About the Project
When Pasha, a young Bulgarian immigrant ballet dancer falls in love with Ezra, a stage four pancreatic cancer patient, his entire perspective of love is flipped upside down. Navigating Ezra’s traumatic past, Pasha takes on the caretaker pressure of Ezra’s terminal cancer, and his unhealthy attachment to his ex-boyfriend, Ryan. Ezra’s destructive habits drain Pasha’s happy-go-lucky demeanor, and soon the honeymoon stage turns into a battleground for sanity. Every moment of awakening for Ezra becomes a death pill Pasha must swallow, leaving us with one question: how deep are the Layers of Love?
