What I liked
It’s a joy of a show, it puts a big smile on my face, and it’s a total freaking blast to watch.
What I didn't like
He called Frodo “Bilbo” once, he said “Aragorn” when he meant “Strider”, and he keeps calling Bill the Pony “their horse”…clearly this man has never seen Lord of the Rings…
My overall impression
This is my second year of watching Riley explain LOTR, and I can’t wait for the next 22 years of him walking us through these movies 😂
On one hand you get a real deep dive into the mastery of the storytelling and brilliance of Peter Jackson’s trilogy. On the other hand you watch a superfan’s tribute to a series that means so much to so many of us.
Riley is funny, quick-witted, clever, and really nails his Saruman impression. I laughed the whole way through!
