What I liked

Riley just has such an inherent instinct for what will be funny and entertaining. He knows just when to bug out his eyes, when to pull off a mildly-impressive stunt, pull off an extremely unimpressive stunt, and contort his voice for maximum impact.

It’s the insistence on honing in on every moment, no matter how small, that really makes this work. Even if you’ve seen the movie a dozen times like I have, you’ll suddenly be blindsided by say some characters in a bar that you forgot existed. Somehow, it manages to be both honed in on meticulous details and blithely chaotic at the same time. Truly, the mind of a master at work.

Also, the Arwen stuff? A+

What I didn't like

i demand lore so obscure it may have just been something Tolkien wrote on a napkin once

My overall impression

What sort of madman decides they’re going to spend the next 27 years of their life reenacting the Peter Jackson Lord of the Rings films in increasingly deranged ways? Riley Smith, that’s who. Riley has never met a bit he couldn’t commit to and we, as the audience, appreciate his sacrifice 🫡
