My whole family loved the show! The kids really engaged with Kody the puppet coyote, and they laughed at the darkly funny aspects of reanimating corpses (for friendship!) The show did a great job of dealing with issues of loneliness and despair in a way that really made you feel hopeful. The set design was great, and we enjoyed the incorporation of the digital background, as well as the satirical ad breaks. We also enjoyed the songs, especially “If You’re Angry and You Know It,” which of course we sung along to.
What I didn't like
Lou (Layn Pieratt) seemed quieter than Kody, especially in the beginning of the play. During some of the songs it felt like Layn Pieratt was competing with the background music, so the sound balancing could be improved, I think.
My overall impression
A sweet, touching, uplifting show about friendship and silver linings in the worst of circumstances.
