What I liked

The story was strong, both organizationally and emotionally. Many great payoffs and callbacks that gave it closure and a very satisfying emotional arc. Khalil’s character and performance also felt very natural for the actor and brought great levity to the otherwise solemn subject matter.

What I didn't like

I felt the actors could improve more on their projection and enunciation of their lines, I often couldn’t hear or understand them. Also, the moment where Booker hugs her after she finds out her father died came off comedic and jovial, which seemed to clash with her grief. Almost felt like we blew over her reaction and the fact that she just recieve the news.

My overall impression

A heartwarming tale of healing family trauma and finding new beginnings, filled with colorful and deep characters that feel grounded and real.
