The sheer effort. There is so much choreography in this show and Woody nails it all. The way that he allows the fast-moving train to have moments of pause and improvised magic is such a skill. He also takes EXCELLENT care of the audience, especially those who participate in his bits. The entire show is packed with dumb, brilliant ideas and I was just in awe by the end. What a journey. I think I cried because Woody really believed in this dumb idea and put so much effort into it and still remains so cool and calm throughout. I’m so impressed and inspired to have that level of focus and relaxation all the time.

My overall impression
Ambitious, silly, thoughtful, and fast; Woody holds this well-rehearsed and complex show loosely in his hand. He allows plenty of room for surprises to arise in the moment and he responds brilliantly each time. It is the perfect blend of professional buffoonery. I’m not embarrassed to say that I was moved to tears by the end.
